We had a meeting on Tuesday to discuss the future of the CAL group. Numbers
have been dwindling for quite some weeks and we have been without a chair for
sometime. The meeting was attended by Sandra, Gail, Julie and myself. We voted
to closed the group with immediate effect. If you know anyone who might want to
know but isn’t on Yahoo, please can you pass the message on?
On a personal note, our family has benefited from CAL hugely, and I would like
to thank everyone who helped set up and run the group for the past 2 and a half
years, we’ve had lots of fun and made some great friends – thank you all.
We have the remainder of our National Trust membership until it expires in
January, so Jane and I are going to try and organise a few visits. We will post
details on here and any CAL members who’d like to join us will be most welcome.
The group that was meeting at Gwel -an-Top is no longer running and unfortunately I can’t get it off the calender. Please see the facebook and yahoo groups for up to date group/meet up details

Just a quick reminder Flambards is this Thursday 24th.
Under 90cm are free, 90cm to 10years £5.50, 11-17yr olds £7.50 and adults £4.50 …… Flambards have asked us to pay in one go, so please arrive at 10.15 with the correct money if possible so hopefully I can pay at 10.30 when they open.and go straight in. This will hopefully save a lot of excited young people from hanging around getting fed up, keep Flambards enterance free, and is fairer on those who arrive in time.
Hopefully see you there as the weather is looking reasonable.
Hi Sorry I’ve sent this out so late
Thursday 3rd May 10 onwards Heartlands @ Pool nr Camborne New playground & other stuff thought we would go and have a look. Thursday 24th May 10.15 Flambards …. more to follow
Further to our conversation this morning please find attached my flier that advertises what I do.
I will use this opportunity to to tell you a little about myself if that is OK? I am a very experienced early years teacher who has also trained to be a dyslexia specialist teacher.
I have recently moved to Newlyn from Devon, and have plans to move to Heamoor in the Spring.
I teach from home and charge £30.00 per hour on a ‘pay-as-you-go’ basis.
I have recently started teaching a home-schooled child called Harry Rogers who, I am pleased to say, is making very good progress with his literacy and his self-esteem as a result. (I have checked with his Mum, Jacky before mentioning this and she is happy for me to do so).
Anyway, I thought other parents might be interested to know what I can offer – so hence this email.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you need any further information.
Thanks very much
