Give it a go

The Give It a Go Scheme provides funding, throughout Cornwall, that can be used to pay for your child to take part in activities/groups. It can be for lessons, trips, etc. There is between £100-£200 per child of school age depending on the area you live in.

The funding has to be spent before Aug 2011. The criteria is that your child would be eligible for free school meals if they were in school or you are in receipt of higher rate of tax credits (NHS exemption card).

Some home ed families have already used the scheme. The person to contact is Jodeigh Phelps on 01726 874010 and she will pass you on to the contact in your area. She can be hard to reach but it is worth it.

If you need any more info please email Jane (sjamb1[at]o2[dot]co[dot]uk ).
