A new home-ed group is starting in Bodmin. We have been meeting on Wednesdays at the Bodmin Childrens Centre, which provide us with a fully equipped, separate unit situated at the rear of the building.Usually starting at 11am til 2pm. We also meet up at various venues to do activities such as golf ,museum trips and occasional visits to Eden, with lots of plans for the future, all ideas welcomed! Also,on the first Wednesday of the month we are going to join the St.Austell Group at the fantastic Plants For A Future land nr St.Veep. For more details see .

We are hoping to incorporate a science club as well, which will be once or twice a month.

The unit is equipped with an amazing array of toys and soft play aimed at under fives,so if any families with young children come along, there will always be plenty to keep everyone amused, as well as the planned activity and an arts and crafts table too.

We would welcome anyone in Cornwall to join us for this exciting new group and hope to have lots of fun learning and playing ,any ideas for future activities are also very welcome.

Here is the first months calendar of what’s on :

2nd March– Plants For A Future land nr St.Veep(please see for more detail or phone Katie) .

9th March-Science Week. We will be offering an intro to exploring the periodic table, atoms and elements, aimed at all ages with experiments. As always, there will be an arts table and under 5’s toys for any children who don’t fancy the idea of science!

16th March-Puppet Making. Please bring any items or puppets that you think will be useful or inspire!!There will be planning worksheets and puppets to give some ideas and lots of different materials to use.

23rd March-Science Week. More fun experiments and worksheets for those who are interested.

30th March-Visiting Truro Records Office. Hoping to do some detective work, you choose the subject beforehand, whether it be your local town, your property or your family. The Records Office holds a massive library of local info and we thought it would be fun for us all to dig and delve! Meeting time to be arranged nearer the time.

Begin doing what you want to do now. We are not living in eternity. We have only this moment, sparkling like a star in our hand and melting like a snowflake. Let us use it before it is too late.
